Track 1 - Solitude
A tree grows in the midst of chaos
No respect for god’s intentions, or earth’s reaction
The beach is only steps away, but the sound
Is miles in the distance
Where do we go from here
Where do we find solitude
The solitude, of our lives
The dune of sand that now is gone
Replaced with concrete and meters
I am longing for the beauty, that existed
When the moon controlled our eyes
And her absence, makes the night, even harder
Where do we go from here
Where do we find solitude
The solitude, of our lives |
Track 2 - Life Of The Eternal Variety
Sometimes i get dry enough to crack
Spill my emotions on the ground
There's a bottomless pool nearby in this lifeless desert of mine
Do I want it badly enough to drag myself there
There is a springtime to be had
An explosion of new life ahead
Will we drink the water and raise our hands
Reach out for the awakening
I'm full of hot, bristling, crunchy sand
A sign of old things gone brown and dormant
I know I know I can breathe again
Bring myself up to swim
We would throw our heads under the sparkling surface
Open our eyes and see the dancing blue living things
We hurl ourselves into the river feel it tingling and shocking us into a better day
An awakening |
Track 3 - Blue Days
I sit around and let my mind sink with the sunset
Flowing wine, crushing mood
No satisfaction from being alone
No satisfaction being with anyone else
The weight of love sinks from my shoulders, to my feet
No sound can break my tone
Out there is someone purely for me
A match for my own complicated equation
Let the sun sink with my hopes
And the new day bring fresh eyes
It’s those blue days, keeping me strong
When the rest of the world, is stormy
Open my window, and breathe the air
Give myself to you
I don’t know of a perfect way
Or of a rugged path it may take
I’m not even sure this path exists
Or am I manifesting my own trip
Should I call, or should I fight
I’m so very tired of wondering
I almost want to make it real, I almost want to make it real
But on my own time, on my own time |
Track 4 - Parallels
From the time of being young
When all the world was so brand new I
Took a stroll along the road
Felt the rocks and stones beneath my shoes
The road that paves the future
Gravel turning to puzzle pieces and
Twists and turns beginning to form
On a parallel wave between fate and truth
We take this road together
Around the world and across this change
Though we did it a different way
We’ll end up in the same place
We take this road together
Around the world and across this change
Though we did it a different way
We’ll end up in the same place |
Track 6 - Daydream
Life , moves by so briefly
From one moment , to the end of the glow
We fly, carelessly outside ourselves
No concept of the unseen
The darkness and the morning clock
On a cool morning, we awaken
From a daydream, one we can’t explain
Our eyes open, into the white room
And we can hardly speak, we can hardly speak, we can hardly speak
For the life we lead, we can’t come to realize
The insecurity of the future, of our lives
Now we’re floating here, floating here in nowhere
While the hearts of those who care, prepare for defeat
There is grace, and another chance we lead
Comprehended as our eyes open, into the room of white
The sky has cleared, and our minds have relaxed
Let it be my our new mortality
That guides us promptly |
Track 9 - Walk It Alone
I was thinking about the good times the other day
About how we used to have so much fun
So many reasons not to stay
To travel far away, and start this journey again
But something tugs at my coat tails
And keeps me close, even through those memories and pain
Life has those challenges and turns
When we lift up our faith, and ride the wave again
Let these feet move on,
Let this mind be free, of the path taken before
With or without those hearts, who have abandoned me
I can walk this, alone
Though these nights run together
I find a sense of peace, in the silence of my room
What should ignite a fire, has somehow built my strength
I can look inside for answers
To the only heart that will never flee
I find my strength, and make a mockery of what was with what will be
So let the world do it’s thing, and start looking at things
The only way he tells us to see
So let these feet move on,
Let this mind be free, of the paths taken before
With or without those hearts, who have abandoned me
I can walk this, alone
Though these nights run together
I find a sense of peace, in the silence of my room |
